Become an Online Guru — Bake a Batch of Brownies
Had a lovely request for information and a pleasant telephone conversation this morning from a lady writing and article for this site … talk about combining a service and making money online in a nice package, take a look at SeniorsforLiving.com I’ll be writing more abut these folks to be sure.
The conversation got me thinking about how I have been neglecting this site and how many stories there are out there to convey to people, bout them up and get them on the path to empowerment.
I regularly read Dmitri Davydov (and I think you should too, he’s been on my ‘Blogs of Value’ list for some time). here’s a great story that caught my attention yesterday and made me smell brownies baking….
Lisa Rothstein began baking brownies as a hobby while working as an elementary school teacher. She and a sorority sister started a business called Brownie Points baking brownies in their apartment.
Soon their business took off and they moved it to a manufacturing facility in Cleveland.
Unfortunately, Lisa had to move to Columbus, Ohio because of her husband’s job. Growing tired of the commute and the time it took away from her family she decided to sell out.
Soon after going through a divorce, Lisa realized that her true passion was her brownie business. She contacted the new owners and they offered her a position at the company but Lisa wanted to take the company back. Eventually the new owners agreed and she once again was the owner of Brownie Points.
From there, Lisa has taken the company to a whole new level. Lisa never compromised the quality of her product, she made an effort to always put out the best. The company is now in a 5,000 square foot facility in Columbus, Ohio and it has a fabulous online presence….
Nice story, isn’t it? I hear from people all the time how they would like to do something creative and productive for themselves, if only. If only they had the time. If only they were a man out on their own instead of a woman with children and other responsibilities at home, If only they didn’t have to work their existing job, If only they had the technical skills, sadly, the list goes on and on.
Well, riddle me this. Can you bake a mean batch of brownies? Then you can read Lisa’s story, adapt her techniques and growth plan to the shape and size that suits your own needs and empower your retirement.
Or are you horrible at baking but perhaps have sold cars for years, or ran a commercial laundry, or … Go look at my friend Jack Reed’ story and see how a senior citizen can make a six-figure income writing about skills like managing apartment houses or controlling the clock at football games.
Anyone who actually wants to apply themselves can make money online, or with the assistance of the online segment of the market (if a guy sells conventional paper and ink books from his website, is his business online or off?). Remember that the word ‘apply’ typically includes work … I didn’t say you could make money effortlessly, but I do mean anyone can do it, whether you are a retired rocket scientist or a brownie baker.
If you are eager to try but don’t think you can figure this stuff out on your own, and you would rather have a service that holds your hand and walks you through every step, this is one of many proven sources that can help.
If you already ‘dabble’ online, perhaps have a blog and wonder how you can make money just from that (as I do), then you might find a one-on-one service like this very helpful.
Or just do it on your own … you certainly can. The only important thing is, Do It.
