i am pretty new to this Make money online stuff. i started making money online by monetizing my blogs and websites using Adsense, Adbrite and Kontera. i have yet to try affiliate marketing.
i Make money online using the very popular Google Adsense program. i also tried Amazon affiliate program but i dont earn that much from amazon.
In general I find you can’t compare one to the other in that way, Janna. AdSesnew does well for me on sites that have a large information content … this one, for example. But I wouldn’t even bother running Amazon here … this sin’t a site where people come to shop. But now on a site that is product oriented … especially somehting high tech, where you need to know about the “net popular gizmo”, then Amazon can do very well. Wjat most people do not bother doing with Amazon is pointing out how much variety Amazon has … you cna go to Amazon to buy a book and wind up with a new refrigerator for example … and your affiliate cookie is good for every purcahse a visitor makes.

Exactly. I think a number of people who complain about AdSense and other advertising networks fail to realize somehting … you have yo build traffic and you have to expend some effort at building it. You can’t just ‘put up a site’ and stick ads on it .. aside from your grandma or some school chums, who will every read it? Advertising, on-line or off, is a numbers game. You need to get eyes to the page … and the techniques to do this are pretty simple … but the effort has to be put in to make the techniques work.
