Money Making 101: How to Take Google to the Cleaners

10/06/2009 by: Shaun Conner

Figuring out which niche will allow you to make the most income isn’t easy by a long shot — it’ll take work, and you’ll have to watch the details. But it’s possible if you follow the instructions in this article.

Long Tail Key Words

Use google keyword selector tool and begin to search for keywords to use in your website or blog. This is a free tool offered through google adwords website. Most long tailed keywords are three or more words long. These are the words that will bring in very targeted visitors to your website. One great way to find long tailed keywords is to ask a question.

Add the words how to, how can I, when should, can you, and any other question you can think of to the keyword selector tool with your keyword. You will begin to get search results that are questions people are typing into google looking for answers. Many of these search terms can lead you to find niches that no one else has found yet.

Monthly Searches

Be sure that your keywords have enough people looking for them each month. Look for niches that have 14,000 searches or more each month. Do not invest a lot of time on keywords that are under 10,000 searches a month.

Discussion Groups

Find out what people in your chosen niche want. Join a few forums and become a lurker. Write down all of the questions that people are asking. You will discover many questions, that do not have satisfying answers to the members of the forum. Several of the questions may be reoccurring. Use the search function on the forum. You may find that every month a new different is having the same problem.

Traditional Print

Look for online ezines or magazines in your chosen niche. If there is a magazine that means that there are enough people who will pay for the specific information within the pages of that ezine or magazine. Do an internet search for magazines plus your niche phrase.

Many times you will find yahoo answers, or message board posts where people are looking for information related to your niche. Take note of how many unanswered questions you find. There may be people directing others to a book or single resource on that subject. That book may be listed on Amazon or other online sources of books. It’s easy to make money online if you’re selling the answers to questions people want to have answered.

There may be one tattered copy that is being sold for more than $50. Many times you will find that the book is not in stock, but highly valued. Do an internet search for the name of the book. This may lead you to different forums where people are searching for more information in this niche.

Everyday people go online to find answers to their problems. Many people want to improve a certain area in their life, and are willing to pay to simply have their problem solved. Most profitable niches are not always about making money. There may be people in pain, who want a natural solution. Another person may want to learn a skill that is not taught in his area, and there are no available in print books.

The most profitable niches are, unfortunately, not always fun. Writing about credit card debt reduction techniques will probably make you more money than writing about American Idol — that’s okay, in the long run, the money will make it all worth while… it also means that most people are ignoring the “boring” topics, meaning you can make more because of their laziness. Turn this into an advantage.

Once you find a few high profitable niches to make money with keep learning new skills to become the expert. This is how to completely dominate your niche and make money.
