Six Figure Blogging Reboots for 2008 — and Why You Care
I promote only a few offers here at Retired Pay World. especially since I have started to gain expertise at is really effective, and more importantly, what could educate my readers effectively … what could offer them real value instead of just a "chance at a fortune" I have become more and more selective … so you will seldom see any drivel and chaff recommended here. (By the way, if you feel i have wasted your time or misrepresented something in the past … please be sure to let me know … I won’t know unless you tell me).
Back in the dark ages of blogging … in mid 2005 … I first heard of a fellow named Darren Rowse and a "little thing" he was operating called problogger.net. It came to my attention through my dear wife The Unofficial Cook who had seen a write up that claimed Darren was making over $100,000 a year from blogging. this caught my attention, at first not because of the possibility of actually making money from a blog, but because I was currently using a blog to some success on the "brochure" website of my then "brick and mortar" GPS sales business. I wanted to see what Darren was doing so successfully with the idea I might use some of his ideas to improve my conventional business.
Well, the rest is history, so they say. I now no longer schlep my way up and down the highways calling on clients, deal with state sales tax overlords, pay penalties for filing my unemployment reports late or all the other "fun" aspects of running a brick and mortar business. I live where I chose to, write when i want and work in T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops … unless I choose to wear less. many other probloggers and other online personalities have helped me along the line, but basically I owe all my success to Darren. he taught me what I needed to get started and more importantly, converted me to the minds et of working this way … which is much harder to come upon on your own than any technical knowledge you might need. Thank you, Darren.
You can still get a free college-level education on blogging at Darren’s site and I always send every single person who asks me blogging questions to www.problogger.net, no matter what other advice I may offer. But sometimes reading the words is just not enough.
Enter Andy Wibbels.
