Opt-In Subscribers – The Benefit of Dynamic Covers

08/03/2009 by: Kieren Moran

When you’re starting an online business, the last thing you want to do is pay out money to create professional cover graphics. Many people are tempted to just run out and download free cover software or ebook cover templates in an attempt to build their businesses easily.

While this may well appear to be an ideal solution, when it comes to running an online business, free goods most often come high price tag. When you’re just starting out, establishing trust and credibility amongst visitors to your site is essential and having your cover designed professionally will almost certainly help you achieve these goals.

The Purpose of a Subscriber List A common mistake between those who are new to internet marketing is that they tend to underestimate the importance of a subscriber list.

Marketers are continuously striving to attract new visitors to their sites because each new visitor is a potential customer. Of course, not all of them will make an immediate purchase so ideally, you need their email addresses, which you can get by means of a subscription box where they can opt-in to receive your newsletters, etc.

How to Build Your Subscriber List If you’re under the impression that you simply need a subscription box on your site, you’ll be sorely disappointed.

Fair enough, that may have worked in the early days but nowadays; people are generally far more hesitant in giving out their email addresses. Essentially, the only way you’ll get them to subscribe, is if you’re offering something they find useful.

In order to offer your visitors the impression of professionalism and instill a sense of trust in what you have to offer them, paying for some great cover graphics for promotional items or giveaway enticements can be an excellent investment into your business’s success.

Encouraging Visitors to Subscribe For the most part, a subscription on its own is simply not going to cut it. Instead, try offering your visitors something beneficial, such as a weekly or monthly report, and to encourage them even more, go ahead and offer all first-time subscribers a free eBook.

Of course, you’ll need to be sure you present your giveaway item as being worth something of value. This can mean showing visitors your free ebook or report as an attractive cover graphic to represent what your new subscribers will be receiving when they opt-in to your mailing list.

It’s undeniable that your subscriber rates will increase when you’re offering those who opt-in, a product which they perceive to be of value. In fact, market analysis suggests that a professionally designed cover graphic, can drive up opt-in conversion rates by as much as 65%

Increasing Profits With Giveaways People who visit websites want to learn something. They’re trying to find information about a topic that interests them. If your site doesn’t offer the information they’re looking for, they’ll simply leave and look for it elsewhere.

When site visitors want information, give them information. If instead, you push a sales letter under their nose, you can be sure to wave goodbye to them as a result.

Those who’ve had years upon years of experience in online marketing have long since realized the power behind free promotional products displayed in a prime position within their sites. This in effect has a double advantage in that the visitor gains access to the information they were looking for, while at the same time, you successfully convey a message to the buyer that you’re not about to bombard them with a drawn out sales pitch.

This means once you send out your newsletter or ezine, your subscribers already have that same level of trust instilled in them, so they’re more likely to trust any product you decide to promote in your newsletter.

While an eBook may not necessary be the greatest gift in the world, if it’s got exceptionally attractive cover graphics, it can go a long way towards increasing your sales and profits.
