Recommended Resources — Michael Martine
Hate to do a second recommended resources post on the heels of yesterdays, (Actually, I don’t hate it at all, what’s good is good and this offering is better than good) but this is just too good to pass up. Again, this is about value to you only, no affiliate links, squeeze pages of those ghastly 100 screen ‘long sales letters’ which I hate so much. 9you may have notices I took a affiliate program off the blog here recently because the product, which I felt was very good, necessitated my readers to wade through one of those 1200 page monstrosities. The explanation of the ‘guru’ marketing the product? "oh yes, we know people hate them, but they convert" … that is people click on them and he makes money.
Well I have news for that guy and for the rest of you hundred page mind-numbers out there … prostitution is still one of the easiest professions to get into and it can pay very well indeed, but I wouldn’t send my daughter out to walk the streets and I’m no going to send any of you into those shady neighborhoods any more, either.
That’s why I’m highlighting a great freebie today from Michael Martine, author of remarkablogger and several other valuable web properties.
Michael is starting the week off in great style with a really high-value download of a terrific tutorial on how to establish and promote a business blog.
This is of great value for those of you in the business of blogging, but even more valuable for those who are in other businesses, think a blog is of value, but whose eyes glaze over when us ‘real’ bloggers start talking about pings and things. here’s an excerpt in Michael’s own words:
Who This Book is For
This book is written for the freelancer or business person who is looking into creating a blog as a marketing tool for the business. It is aimed squarely at people who know there is value to be found in having a strong web presence, but need to cut through all the buzzwords and marketing crap to get the straight info on the what, why, and how of business blogging.
This book is also written for a freelancer or business person who already has a blog and wants to dramatically improve its performance and its ability to meet its objectives.
This book complements and goes way beyond the Caroline Middlebrook offering I mentioned yesterday … it’s quite a bit thinker and more thoughtful, as opposed to how-to, so they both certainly deserve a place on my electronic shelf, likely on yours as well. recommended. Just click here ==>>
